At 11:30 when a freight train was pulling out of a tunnel in the railway section between Mirkovo and Bunovo, seven wagons derailed. The freight composition consisted of 20 wagons altogether. Six of the derailed wagons were loaded with aluminum castings and the seventh wagon was a tank-wagon, transporting diesel fuel. According to the initial information, there is no fuel leakage from the tank wagon. Four of the derailed wagons, as well as the remaining twelve wagons from the composition, are inside the tunnel.

The Directors General of the South-European Railways Group (SERG) met in Athens on 22 23 June. The meeting was attended by the railways of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Turkey.

Early this morning at about 00:45 one of the wagons of a freight train derailed between Koprivshtitsa and Anton. No casualties are reported. Transport police was informed about the accident and is conducting an investigation jointly with railway experts.
